It's been a long time

I'm back from week long trip to NC and my Mom just left on Saturday after a week here with me. I had a great time visiting and chatting and going completely nuts with the baby shopping. Seriously, it's amazing how much money you can spend on a tiny baby. My cousin Traci tried to rein me in, but it was no use. I was a mad woman.

I had two wonderful baby showers and left my Mom and Dad's house stuffed with boxes to ship to me (7 0r 8 boxes) and Mom and I each stuffed a suitcase full of baby stuff to bring back with us.

Luckily, demolition/construction on our addition is starting next week so I'll soon have a place to put all this stuff.

I know I promised pictures but they're all on Melbourne's computer and I haven't taken the time to transfer and/or sit at his desk and post. I'm a slacker, forgive me.

Big news - Melbourne finally felt the baby move! It happened last Sunday night. I was feeling a volley of flips and kicks and punches so he decided to but his hand on my belly to see if he could feel anything. And boy did he ever - the look on his face was priceless! This little baby is getting strong. Melbourne has told EVERYONE that he's talked to about feeling the movement. He's so cute!

As many of you already know, the baby was too shy at the ultrasound to show us its goods so unless we choose to do an elective (read not covered by insurance) ultrasound we won't know if it's a boy or girl until he or she makes his or her entrance into the world.

Emotions are high around here - happy, happy, happy I am!

I'm so glad things are happy happy! How wonderful. And I totally think it's a girl.

Holy cow, Jo, something must be wrong with Blogger. It took 2 days for your comment to show up!
